Summer Pack Trips with Colorado Hunting & Fishing Outfitters

Pack Trips, Day Rides, Wilderness/Yoga Retreats, Horsemanship Clinics

Looking to plan a Colorado hunting trip this summer? Consider booking with us to experience all that Samuelson Outfitters has to offer. Options during these warmer months include everything from pack trips and day rides to horsemanship clinics and wilderness/yoga retreats, each of which is a great option for those traveling with a small group.

What to Expect When Booking your Summer Pack Trip
As snowmelt and trail accessibility dictate how soon we can get into the Troublesome Basin, our summer pack trips typically run from late May through September.

Our pack trips cater to each individual group. Concerned about your riding abilities? Don’t be. For the safety and enjoyment of the group, we plan our rides based on the ability of the least experienced rider. Upon booking, our outfitters will inquire about your group’s interests, as well as what you hope to accomplish, see, and do. Depending on this basic information, we plan our trips accordingly. If multiple groups are visiting with us at once, we take care to ensure we don’t use the same camp locations and trails for each. Our goal is to minimize our impact on the Basin as much as possible.

What to Bring on Your Summer Pack Trip

Our clients only need to bring their personal effects, toiletries, sleeping bags, and pads. We request that your rain gear does not consist of flimsy plastic ponchos or large garbage bags. Rain gear with sleeves is required. Helmets are also recommended but are not provided by Samuelson Outfitters. To help with your packing preparations, we encourage you to review our suggested gear list.
